30 Nissan Leaf electric cars are in Moscow car sharing

Nissan sold to the car sharing Yandex.Drive 30 Nissan Leaf electric vehicles, which will be available to customers in Moscow. Yandex.Drive users will be able to navigate NissanLeaf throughout the city and beyond, but you will need to return the car inside the Sadovoe Ring. Drivers do not have to worry about charging - Yandex.Drive specialists will do this. All Nissan Leaf will undergo regular maintenance at an authorized Nissan dealer, Major, the automaker’s press service informed.

Nissan Leaf electric cars with a 40 kWh battery will be available for Moscow Nissan Yandex Drives. According to the results of tests conducted according to the new European WLTP regulation, such a battery provides the electric vehicle with a range of 270 km in the urban cycle. Nissan Leaf users in Moscow will also be able to evaluate intelligent cruise control with a speed limiter in real road conditions: its radar monitors the distance to the vehicle in front and maintains a predetermined distance to it, automatically controlling the engine and brake system, and the traffic sign recognition system will help to keep the correct speed mode. Nissan Leaf is also equipped with an intelligent lane departure warning system and an intelligent stopping system in front of an obstacle, including pedestrians and cyclists.

“Together with Yandex.Drive, we are very pleased to offer Muscovites the opportunity to test and evaluate a fully electric Nissan Leaf in real city conditions. This project is aimed first of all at the studying of the consumer qualities of an electric car in a Russian metropolis. We look forward to the first feedback from users of car sharing,” - said Andrei Akifiev, Managing Director of Nissan in Russia.

Nissan Leaf is the best-selling electric car in Europe: in 2018, more than 40 thousand such cars were sold in European countries. The bestseller status is also confirmed by world sales: since the model appeared in 2010, more than 400 thousand units have already been sold, and the total mileage of all Nissan Leaf has surpassed the mark of 3 billion kilometers.
