UAZ will equip its cars with Connectedcar technologies


Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant begins the pilot testing of cars with Connectedcar technology. It assumes the presence of built-in telematics functions, online services and a mobile application for customers, with which you can manage new functionality and receive information from various vehicle systems. The serial production of UAZ vehicles with connectivity function will begin in the fourth quarter of 2019, the press service of the automaker reports. The first UAZ-branded vehicle with connectivity was the Patriot flagship SUV with automatic transmission.

The new IT solution developed by C-Cars is fully integrated with UAZ's internal systems. Using a proprietary mobile application, the vehicle owner will be able to start or stop the engine, receive data on the technical condition of the car, its location, fuel level in the tank and driving style in real time, remotely. 

Telematics data is delivered to the Squadron cloud platform, which provides operational processing and interaction with information. Various service and content providers, marketplaces, fleet management systems, as well as data storage systems are easily integrated with the platform. The collection and exchange of data from the “connected vehicle” is provided by the ERA-GLONASS telecommunications module. “We plan to introduce solutions not only for private vehicle owners, but also for the B2B sector - for example, park owners. The platform’s functionality will enable the integration of UAZ Profi smart trucks into various ecosystems of online services, transmit information about the condition of cars to dealers, and manage the park through its own web portal. It will reduce the price of operating vehicles, minimize downtime and increase the efficiency of business processes. The Connectedcar platform will work not only with new UAZ “connected vehicles”, but it will also permit the connection of a previously bought park,” - said Sergey Travkin, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales of UAZ.

Recall that at the end of August, Russian dealers of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant began to pre-order the flagship SUV UAZ Patriot with an automatic transmission.

According to the results of 8 months, Russian UAZ dealers sold 22,776 vehicles, which is 3% lower than the figure for the same period of the previous year. The bestseller of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in the Russian market is the flagship SUV UAZ Patriot.
