Passenger car production fell by 3% in August

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, for 8 months of 2019, 1 million 010 thousand passenger cars rolled off Russian conveyors - it is 1.3% higher than for the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, in August, 116 thousand cars were produced, which is 3% lower than the previous year. It is worth noting that AvtoVAZ began the production of LADA Granta sedan in the new DriveActive version the previous month.

The production of trucks reached 95 thousand units in January-August, which is 0.8% lower than the previous year. Last month, 13.4 thousand trucks left the Russian conveyors and this figure corresponds to the level of 2018 (-0.2%). It is worth noting that Isuzu Rus plant in Ulyanovsk launched the production of IsuzuElf 7.5 (NPR82) CNG small trucks with a compressed natural gas (methane) engine. And the Ural automobile plant began the production of a new two-axle all-wheel drive truck Ural Next.
