According to the survey, for the year (from November of 2017 to October of 2018), 48 cars were sold per one thousand Russians, incl. 11 new cars and 37 used ones.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to extend state support programs for the automotive industry in 2020, funds have already been reserved.

This was announced by the head of the ministry, Denis Manturov, during the Comtrans-2019 exhibition. “So far, we have reserved a small amount of funds that are provided now in the draft budget. After the approval of budget procedures, it will be clear exactly what measures. I think that, first of all, there will be a reserve for car loans, for leasing in some minimal amount, as we usually start at the beginning of the year, but it still requires additional approval procedures," - said the minister, quoted by TASS.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also said that the production of cars and LCVs in Russia by the end of 2019 could grow by maximum of 1.5%. "The main task will be to keep the same volume as the previous year, maybe there will be a maximum plus 1.5%," - he said.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, for 7 months of 2019, 894 thousand passenger cars left Russian conveyors, which is 2.1% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

Recall that in 2019 the state support programs of the car market were first resumed on March 1st. Then the government allocated 10.4 billion rubles for them, but by May the funds finished. Since July 1st, the Russian government restarted the state support programs for demand in the Russian car market, allocating additional 10 billion rubles for this. According to the agency, thanks to additional financing, it will be possible to stimulate the sale of more than 75 thousand cars on preferential terms.
