In Russia, it was introduced the service of subscribing to cars – Hyundai Mobility

For the first time in Russia, Hyundai plans to launch the unique Hyundai Mobility online platform, which will provide customers with the opportunity to subscribe to the Korean brand models via a mobile application. The company intends to spend about 100 million rubles on the promotion of this platform, and October 1st is set as the launch date.

According to the press service of the automaker, this service has no analogues in the Russian market and it is changing the idea of using a car. So, in the online application, customers will have access to three subscription options (tariff plans): - City - a car is taken for a period of 1 to 24 hours. - Country - a car is taken for a period of 1 day to 1 month. This tariff, according to developers, may be of interest to people going on vacation or on a business trip. - Freedom - from 1 month to 1 year.

In general, the company makes the main bet on this tariff, since it is closest to the very idea of changing the scheme of car ownership. At the same time, the developers of the project promise to save the client who takes their car by subscription from literally all the headaches associated with the “car ownership” function - from compulsory motor liability insurance and comprehensive insurance, payment of transport tax, maintenance and oil changes, seasonal tires and etc. It will be possible to subscribe to the car completely online in a few clicks using the mobile application.

By subscription, the whole Hyundai SUV-line will be available, namely the models: Creta, Tucson, SantaFe. The subscription also applies to the 8-seater minibus H-1. Earlier this year, Hyundai Motor CIS and the Skolkovo Innovation Center signed an agreement on a project to create a Hyundai Mobility Lab startup, the goal of which is to develop and commercialize IT solutions and new services for customers.

This center has already started to work. Asking when the new service will be launched, Hyundai Motor CIS managing director, Alexey Kalitsev, answered: “Application tests should be completed in September, 12 dealers in Moscow will launch the service on October 1st, the number of such dealers will be expanded to 20 by the end of the year and in a half of year we will cover all million-plus cities; by the end of the next year - the main cities of Russia. We have a network in 77 cities of Russia, and this is very important ... ” Answering questions, Mr. Kalitsev also explained that there would still be certain restrictions for such a subscription. For example, driver experience is 3 years, age is 25 years. Insurance companies and partners (possibly banks) will take over scoring services. Theoretically, a person will be able to take more than one car by subscription.

Initially, it is planned to take the car and return to the same dealer, however, Mr. Kalitsev does not exclude that, as other cities are connected to the project, this moment will be adjusted and other opportunities will appear.
