GAZ Group will supply electric buses to Vladivostok

GAZ Group will supply two electric buses to Vladivostok to work in the city’s routes. The vehicles are equipped with ultra-fast charging, which replenishes the fully discharged batteries in 9-20 minutes. In accordance with the contract, a charging station will be sent to Vladivostok along with electric buses. The delivery time for electric buses is November 19, the press service GAZ Group reports.

GAZ electric bus is designed to carry 85 passengers, has 30 seats and an accumulative platform specially equipped for low-mobility passengers. Each electric bus has two asynchronous motors with a power 125 kW, lithium-titanate batteries. The power plant of the bus complies with the international environmental standard Zero Emission, which is characterized by a complete absence of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

By order of the Vladivostok administration, GAZ electric buses will be equipped specially. So, taking into account the difficult climatic conditions, the vehicles are equipped with mirror heating and climate control systems. Additional options include tire pressure sensors, USB charging, a passenger counting system, validators for contactless fare payment, etc.

GAZ electric bus was developed on the basis of a low-floor bus of a large class LiAZ-5292. As noted, the development on the basis of the popular bus model allows the achievement of maximum economic efficiency for the carrier in the costs of operation and maintenance of vehicles.

Recall, GAZ Group is the first company that developed a new environmentally friendly type of transport in the country. The first prototype of electric bus was created in 2011, and a fully working concept was presented to the public in 2012. In 2017, GAZ Group carried out the longest tests of electric buses in the country on city routes – vehicles traveled over 13.5 thousand km in Moscow and transported more than 25 thousand passengers. In 2018, GAZ Group began the mass production of electric buses at the Likinsky Bus Plant. Electric transport is produced in a single stream on a conveyor with diesel and gas models.
