Hyundai Truck and Bus Rus increases its presence in the regions

In January – June 2019, Hyundai Truck and Bus Rus opened seven new dealer centers in Russia; only one of them (EastLineSeven) is in the capital. Thus, the company follows its plans to expand its regional presence actively, as well as to increase its market share, which was announced by Kim Ik Dong, CEO of Hyundai Truck and Bus Rus, in an interview with AUTOSTAT agency in December 2018.

“Russia is a strategically important region for the commercial division of Hyundai Motor Company, so we will continue to work on increasing our market share, launching new products, manufactured in the Russian Federation, and developing our dealer network,” Kim Ik Dong explained his immediate objectives. Obviously, the company relies on cities with a million-plus population, as well as the industrial heartlands of Russia, trying to make spare parts and technical service for their vehicles more available. This year, the company in cooperation with TTM Center has opened three dealer centers in Saratov region, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod. In addition, Atik-Asia-Avto dealer center in Blagoveshchensk, RariTEK Auto Group in Naberezhnye Chelny, and Orion-Motors in Krasnoyarsk were launched. The total number of Hyundai Truck and Bus Rus dealerships in our country has now grown up to 59.

According to the company's press service, 49 of them specialize in the sales of vehicles (including in Trade-In), spare parts and optional equipment, vehicle technical support and a number of other services. Other 10 centers are involved only in service and maintenance.

We should remind that the lineup of Hyundai commercial vehicles in Russia is currently represented with the HD35 City and the HD35 light trucks with 3.5-ton total weight, the HD78 medium-duty trucks with a total weight of 7.5 tons and the HD120 12- ton vehicles, as well as the Universe buses. All these trucks are manufactured in Russia at Avtotor plant. The unconditional leader in the Russian market is the HD78 model, which was launched in complete cycle production in November 2017 and quickly became the leader in its sub-segment.
