    Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT have already reported that the average age of cars in Russia is 13.4 years (as of July 1st, 2019). However, depending on the federal district, this indicator differs markedly.



TOP-10 cities with right-hand drive vehicles in Russia


According to AUTOSTAT analytic agency, at the beginning of the year, there were over 3.3 million right-hand drive vehicles in Russia, which is about 8% of the total parc of the country.

As for their redistribution in the cities, the largest number of such vehicles is registered in Vladivostok - 255.8 thousand vehicles. Historically, right-hand drive cars were imported here from neighboring Japan.

Novosibirsk, where 144.2 thousand right-hand drive vehicles are registered, is on the second place of our rating. It is followed by Khabarovsk (111.1 thousand vehicles). The parc of right-hand drive vehicles exceeds 100 thousand vehicles in these three cities.

TOP-10 cities of the Russian Federation by the number of right-hand drive vehicles also include Krasnoyarsk (93.7 thousand vehicles), Irkutsk (75.7 thousand vehicles), Ussuriysk (65.8 thousand
vehicles), Nakhodka (65.4 thousand vehicles), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (58.1 thousand vehicles), Omsk (54.7 thousand vehicles) and Chita (50.4 thousand vehicles). The number of right-hand drive vehicles in other cities is less than 50 thousand.

According to the experts of AUTOSTAT analytic agency, the largest share of such vehicles in the TOP-10 is registered in Nakhodka; right-hand drive vehicles generate 86.8% of the parc here. This indicator is slightly lower in Vladivostok (82.8%) and Ussuriysk (81.6%). It is 71.5% in Khabarovsk. Approximately every second car has the right-hand steering in Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky (54.4%) and Chita (50.3%). In Irkutsk (38.4%), Novosibirsk (32.4%) and Krasnoyarsk (29.1%), this is almost every third, and in Omsk, only every sixth (16.7%) vehicle.
