During nine months AvtoVAZ increased production by 15.7%

During nine months of 2011 AvtoVAZ produced 438,255 cars – that is 15.7% more than a year ago. 

The most numerous model at AvtoVAZ production line was the Lada Priora, 121,416 cars of this model were assembled from January till September, which is 27.7% of the total production volume. The production of the Lada Kalina, which became the best selling model in Russia during the nine months, came up to 109,744 cars for the same period. We should remind that at the beginning of May the Lada Kalina workshop was stopped for modernization and preparation for the Lada Granta production for two weeks, and the production of the Lada Kalina sedan was stopped. The third place in AvtoVAZ production belongs to the Lada Samara with 97,528 cars assembled. The Lada 2107 Classic, whose production was shifted to IzhAvto in August, was assembled at AvtoVAZ conveyer in the number of 55,405 cars, which is the fourth place. From January till September the enterprise manufactured 41,647 Lada 4x4 SUVs. AvtoVAZ experimental-industrial department has also produced 12,515 low-volume Lada models.
