Automotive market in Kazakhstan grew by 13% in June


During the first summer month of this year, new vehicle sales in Kazakhstan came up to 6,315 vehicles (including LCV, trucks and buses). That is 13% more than in June 2018. At the same time, in the first half of the year, the growth in the local automotive market was even greater (+ 18% up to 32,014 vehicles), press service of Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB) reports.

In June, the leader among brands in the Kazakh automotive market changed - Hyundai took the leadership for the first time in a long period. 1,363 vehicle of the Korean brand were bought in the republic last month. Russian LADA moved down to the second place with 1,328 vehicles sold. It is followed by two Japanese manufacturers - Toyota and Nissan, which sold 1,228 and 250 vehicles respectively. French Renault (217 vehicles) took the fifth place in the Kazakh automotive market in June.

According to AKAB vice-president Anar Makasheva, automotive market in Kazakhstan continued its positive dynamics in June. “The growth was 13% as compared to the successful June 2018. The first half of 2019 was quite successful for the market participants, and we believe that the positive dynamics will continue, despite the high comparative base of the previous year, ”Ms. Makasheva said.
