Fiat 500 entered the TOP-five of European bestsellers in May


By the results of May, the compact Fiat 500 hatchback entered the TOP-5 of European bestsellers. According to the FCA Group, more than 60% of sales of Fiat 500 family, which today are three- and five-door hatchbacks, as well as a 500X crossover, accounted for the Italian market. In addition, the model is in high demand in the UK, France, Germany and Spain.

According to research company JATO Dynamics, the best-selling model in Europe in the last month was Volkswagen Golf, with 35,972 sold cars (-11.8%). The second place was occupied by Renault Clio, sales of which grew by 3.2% up to 32,803 cars. The third result was shown by Dacia Sandero - the sales of this model were 22,234 units, which is more by 3.3% than a year ago. Skoda Octavia is the next, which was chosen by 22,183 European customers (+ 11.8%). This time Fiat 500 closes the TOP-five, which was sold in amount of 22,114 units (+ 14.9%).

The TOP-10 of best-selling models in Europe also included Volkswagen Polo (21,189 units, -24.8%), Ford Fiesta (20,658 units, -8.5%), Ford Focus (20,600 units, -3.4 %), Dacia Duster (20,542 units, + 21.6%) and Peugeot 208 (20,430 units, + 2%).
