Sales of "Big Seven" trucks fell by 14%

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", sales of "Big Seven" trucks in the Russian Federation for 5 months of 2019 amounted to 8,742 units, which is less by 14.1% than in the same period of the last year (10,182 units).

The leader of the "Big Seven" in the Russian market is Volvo Trucks. From January to May of this year, 2,163 new Volvo trucks appeared on the roads of Russia, which is less by 13.7% than the last year’s result. In second place there is Scania (1,986 units, -10.3%), in third place - MAN (1,632 units, -12%). The fourth place is occupied by Mercedes-Benz Trucks (1 468 units, -3.9%), the fifth - by DAF (758 units, -36.4%), the sixth is held by Iveco (427 units, -9.3%), and the last one is occupied by Renault Trucks (308 units, -26.5%).

Analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that sales of the Russian direct competitor of the "Big seven", model KAMAZ-5490, for 5 months of 2019 amounted to 2,082 units, which is more by 5.7% than during the same period of the last year.
