According to the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, in April of 2019, the market volume of new trucks in Russia was 7 thousand units, which is less by 1.7% than in the same period of the last year.
The leader of this market is traditionally the domestic KAMAZ, which accounted for more than 35% in the last month. In quantitative terms, it is about 2.5 thousand units - more by 7.7% than in April of 2018. The second place is occupied by another Russian manufacturer - GAZ, the result of which was 724 cars (-7.8%).
Further in the ranking, Swedish Volvo and Scania (467 and 460 units, respectively) are located with almost identical indicators. But if the first brand shows a drop (-14.8%), then the second one shows an increase (+ 9.8%). The TOP-five of leaders is closed by German MAN (408 units; + 19%).
Experts of the analytic agency “AUTOSTAT” also noted that for 4 months of this year, the Russian market of new trucks also fell. Thus, during this period its volume reached 24.5 thousand units - less by 2% than in January-April of 2018.
