According to the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, the volume of the Russian market of new light commercial vehicles (LCV) in April of 2019 was 9.7 thousand units, which is less by 9.2% than a year ago.
The leader of the LCV market remains the domestic brand GAZ, which accounted 45% of the total volume in the last month. In quantitative terms, it amounts to 4.4 thousand units - less by 7.1% than a year ago. In the second place there is the domestic UAZ, the market volume of which, on the contrary, increased (+ 1.3%, up to 1.5 thousand).
Further, LADA and Ford (1026 and 1004 units, respectively) are located with comparable indicators, but if the Russian brand shows a drop (-6.4%), then the American one shows the growth (+ 5.6%). TOP-5 of the leaders of the market of light commercial vehicles in April was German Volkswagen with the result of 557 cars (-6.5%).
Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" also noted that for 4 months of 2019 the volume of the light commercial vehicle market in our country amounted to 33.5 thousand units. It is less by 4.3% than in January - April of the last year.
