In September Nissan increased its sales in Russia by a third

In September Nissan sales in the Russian market grew by 34.4% up to 12,485 cars. According to Nissan Motor Rus, the September result became the best this year. During nine months of 2011 Nissan sold 94,052 cars, that is 84.3% more than a year ago. 

The leader of Nissan model lineup in the Russian market in September is compact crossover Qashgai – 2,486 cars of this model were bought (+3.7%), which is 20% of the total brand sales. The second place was taken by the X-Trail crossover with 2,008 cars sold, which is almost similar to the result of the previous year. The third place belongs to the Nissan Juke crossover, which was sold to 1,758 customers and it became a record result for five months of the model’s presence in the Russian market. The largest sales growth belongs to the Nissan Pathfinder – in September 1,004 cars of this model were sold, that is 8.3 times more than a year ago.

According to Nissan Motor Rus, in September over 2,500 Nissan cars were sold under Nissan Finance program. That means that every third sold car was bought on credit. That was favoured by the special credit offers for the Nissan Pathfinder, the Murano (4.4% per year), for the Qashqai, the Qashqai+2, the X-Trail and the Teana (4.9% per year) active in September. We should also mention that 27% of the cars sold in September were assembled at Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.

In September the sales of Infiniti cars in the Russian market grew by 39.1% up to 640 cars. The traditional leader of the brand is the Infiniti FX crossover, whose sales were 286 cars (+30%) last month. G, M, EX and QX series cars are in good demand. The number of cars sold on credit exceeded 140 cars, which is over 25% of the sales. Special program Infiniti Finance – 5.75% per year for the whole model lineup continued in September and will be active in October.

From January till September 4,515 Infiniti cars were sold – that is 52% more than a year ago. According to Nissan Motor Rus, this exceeds the average growth rate in the premium-class car market (+42.4%) for the same period.
