TOP-10 of the most popular cars in the market of St. Petersburg in the first quarter

According to the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, the market volume of new passenger cars in St. Petersburg in the first three months of 2019 was 21.7 thousand units, by showing a fall of 3%.

The most popular model in the preferences of residents of the northern capital was Hyundai Solaris, which was sold during the reporting period with a circulation of 1,208 units (+ 15%). In the second place there is KIA Rio with a score of 1,031 cars (+ 11%). The third one in the ranking was Volkswagen Polo sedan, sales of which in the first quarter fell by 14% up to 934 units.

With a slight lag, it is followed by Hyundai Creta crossover, the sales volume of which was 932 units, which showed a fall by 18%. The domestic LADA Vesta (859 units) closes the TOP-five of St. Petersburg car market leaders, the market volume of which grew by 29% in the first three months of this year.

In addition to the listed models, the TOP-10 of the market of new passenger cars in St. Petersburg included: Mitsubishi Outlander crossovers (728 units; + 9%), Volkswagen Tiguan (701 units; + 17%), Renault Duster (599 units; + 13%), LADA Largus van (568 units; + 5%) and Skoda Rapid liftback (562 units; -5%).
