According to the analytic agency “AUTOSTAT”, the volume of the market of passenger cars in Russia in March 2019 amounted to about 430 thousand units. It is slightly less (-0.2%) than the result of a year ago.
A quarter of the Russian market of pre-owned passenger cars accounted for the domestic brand LADA. So, in the first spring month, the volume of resale of VAZ cars reached 108 thousand units - less by 4.7% than in March of 2018. Further, in the brand rating, Japanese Toyota and Nissan are traditionally located, the volumes of secondary markets of which amounted to 48.3 and 24.7 thousand cars, respectively. But if the first of them shows a drop (-1.6%), then the second shows an increase (+ 3.3%). The TOP-five of leaders is closed by two Korean brands - Hyundai (21.8 thousand units; + 5.1%) and KIA (19.8 thousand units; + 10.8%).
According to the experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, despite the decrease in March, according to the results of the first quarter of this year, a slight increase still exists in the secondary market. Thus, during this period, its volume amounted to about 1.14 million units - more by 0.5% than in the three months of 2018.
