What models are the best selling in the SUV subsegments in the Russian Federation?


Volkswagen T-Roc became the best-selling SUV in Europe in February


Subcompact crossover Volkswagen T-Roc entered the TOP-10 of the most popular models in Europe in February, by showing the highest growth in demand. As a result, the model for the first time became a bestseller in the SUV segment, by overtaking the Volkswagen Tiguan and Nissan Qashqai. As noted in the research company JATO Dynamics, the new T-Roc became the best-selling SUV model in Austria, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and in Germany, Croatia, Denmark and Italy it ranked the second in this segment.

According to JATO Dynamics, the best-selling model in Europe was Volkswagen Golf in the last month, with an indicator of 31,769 sold cars (-14%). The second place was occupied by the Renault Clio, sales of which grew by 5% up to 26,062 vehicles. The third result was shown by Volkswagen Polo - the sales of this model were 22,610 units, which is more by 17% than a year ago. The Citroen C3 is the next, which was chosen by 19,788 European buyers (+ 6%). The TOP-five of leaders is closed this time by Peugeot 208, which was sold in amount of 19,462 units (-2%).

The TOP-10 of best-selling models in Europe also included Ford Focus (18,638 units, + 23%), Volkswagen T-Roc (17,791 units, + 140%), Ford Fiesta (17,170 units, -13%), Opel / VauxhallCorsa (17,109 units, + 13%) and Volkswagen Tiguan (16,880 units, + 3%).
