Nissan increased the exports of Russian-made cars by 50% in 2018


By the end of 2018, Nissan delivered 5747 Russian-made cars to the markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan, which is more by 50% than a year before. The press service of Nissan informed the agency "AUTOSTAT", by noting that the company exports not only cars, but also parts for a central European warehouse. For example, in the last year St. Petersburg plant Nissan exported more than 17,000 bumpers for the Nissan X-Trail that were produced in the workshop of the molding of plastic components. In addition, the company also exported sound-absorbing mats: 930 thousand parts with a total weight of 450 tons.

Recall that in 2018, the St. Petersburg plant Nissan produced 56,525 cars (+ 23.3%), which was a record figure in the whole history of the company. In particular, the production of Nissan Qashqai crossovers was 26,407 units, Nissan X-Trail – 26,598 units, Nissan Murano – 3,520 cars. It is also worth noting that in October of the last year it was launched the release of the updated SUV Nissan X-Trail in St. Petersburg. And in February of 2019, the St. Petersburg plant Nissan began the production of the updated Nissan Qashqai crossover, which will go on sale this spring. In January of 2019, Nissan Manufacturing Rus became a member of a special investment contract concluded between AVTOVAZ and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. SPIK should support the development of the Nissan and Datsun model line in Russia, as well as other brands of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and the modernization of their production capacities.
