The Ministry of industry and trade resumes the program "First car" and "Family car"

Since March 1st, such well-recommended state support programs as “First car” and “Family car” will be resumed in the Russian car market. It was reported during a working meeting between Industry and Commerce Minister Denis Manturov and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The amount of budget allocations associated with the launch of these programs is agreed in the government. “We expect that it will give an additional increase in production and will support the automotive industry,” - said the head of the department.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, with the help of state programs to stimulate demand in 2018, 134.8 thousand cars were sold. Among them, 99.5 thousand - under the program of preferential lending (First car "and" Family car "), and 24.15 thousand cars were sold under the program of preferential leasing, and another 11.2 thousand cars - under various procurement programs, including school buses (2.7 thousand units), ambulances (1780 units), gas engine equipment (6.1 thousand units). In general, the Ministry of Industry and Trade spent 31.9 billion rubles on various programs to support demand in the automotive industry in 2018.

Previously, "AUTOSTAT" has already reported that in 2019 state support of the government is planned in more modest amounts. It is planned to allocate 3 times less funds than in 2018 for the “First Car” and “Family Car” demand programs by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in 2019 (3 billion rubles against 9.2 billion rubles). A reduction in state support is expected in a number of other areas.
