In August Russian LCV market entered TOP-3 European leaders

In August Russian LCV market entered TOP-3 European LCV sales leaders. However, according AUTOSTAT analysts, as per the results of the eight months, our country is still on the fifth place of the European rating. 

In August LCV sales in Europe grew by 14.2% up to 97,960 cars. According to ACEA, the sales growth is registered in all large European markets – from 5.4% in France to 25.3% in Germany. According to ACEA data, during eight months of 2011 the European LCV market grew by 8.6% up to 1,075,372 cars.

According to the information from the new Monthly review, France is still the European leader in the sales of LCV under 3.5 tons – LCV sales in this country grew by 5.4% up to 22,849 cars. The second place belongs to Germany with 17,608 LCV sold (+25.3%). If to take Russia in consideration, in August our country is on the third place in the European rating. According to AUTOSTAT evaluations, LCV sales in Russia grew by 31.6% up to 16,128 cars last month. At that the Russian LCV market had the largest growth in Europe and reached almost pre-crisis level. Great Britain is continuing to loose its positions, last month it was on the fourth place – 10,640 LCV sold (+22.8%). The fifth place belongs to Italy this time, where the LCV market grew by 4.1% up to 6,490 cars.
