The Russian market of new electric vehicles grew 1.5 times in 2018

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the volume of the market of new electric vehicles in Russia in 2018 amounted to 144 units. This result is more by 51.6% than in 2017 (95 units).

More than a half of this amount accounted for one model – Nissan Leaf (76 units). Then, with a large gap from the leader, two Tesla models follow - Model X and Model S (40 and 12 units, respectively).

We also note that in December, sales of the new electric crossover Jaguar I-Pace started in Russia, 8 Russians managed to become owners of these cars in the last year. In addition, for the year in the Russian Federation 7 new copies of Renault Twizy and 1 - Tesla Model 3 were purchased.

Moscow is the leader in the regional rating of the electric car market - in the capital in 2018 this figure was 46 units. In the second position it is Primorsky Krai (24 pcs.), on the third place - Moscow region (12 units).

Residents of St. Petersburg became the owners of 10 new electric vehicles, and in the Krasnodar Territory there were 5 such people. In the Khabarovsk Territory and the Novosibirsk Region, during this time 4 such cars were purchased. Also it became more by 3 new electric cars in four subjects of the Russian Federation, and by 2 cars - in six ones. In other 15 regions of the country in the last year it was bought by one electric vehicle.
