Sollers intends get net profit in 2011

Sollers Group intends increase its annual consolidated proceeds not less than by 30% and to get net profit. According to Nikolay Sobolev, Sollers CFO, today the forecast is held true, despite the instability in the world stock and financial markets. However some factors could be corrected in the future, which will affect the growth dynamics.

In the first half of 2011 Sollers Group earned 897 million roubles vs 1.1 billion loss a year ago and returned to the net profit according to IAS. The proceeds of the company grew 1.5 times and came up to 31.5 billion roubles. During six months of 2011 EBITDA of Sollers Group increased 4 times up to 2.683 billion roubles. According to EBITDA the profitability grew from 3.3% in 2010 up to 9.1% in the first half of the current year.

According to the company’s estimation, in 2012 the proceeds could decrease insignificantly due to non-intercourse with Fiat concern at the end of 2011. “Proceeds will not decrease significantly in 2012. The growth is expected from other segments proceeds” – N. Sobolev told. He noticed that in 2011 net profit-EBITDA ratio will be 2.5. During the first half of 2011, the net dept grew by 5.8% up to 22 billion roubles.

Talking about the plans of the Group to increase sales and production in 2011, N. Sobolev said that the production could exceed 120,000 cars as compared to 98,000 in 2010. UAZ production growth will come up to 15% (from 55,500 cars a year ago). According to N. Sobolev, the Russian passenger car and LCV market will come up to 2.3 – 2.5 million cars, including 150,000 LCVs in 2011. According to Finmarket agency, the Group intends to increase its share in SUV segment up to 8% (from 7.7%) from January till June 2011.

Answering the question about the possible crisis recurrence, he said: “There surely will not be the situation of 2008. We expect large sales campaigns”, and added that the Group operates according to the demand at present and the stock does not exceed 2 -2.5 months. According to his estimation, there will not be significant sales decrease as the credits are more available now than in 2008. The share of cars bought on credit is about 50%. 

Moreover, talking about Kazakhstan project of the company, N. Sobolev mentioned, that the discussion is in process at present and the decision can be made in 2012.
