TOP-10 of countries by car imports to Russia

According to the estimation of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, for 11 months of 2018, legal entities imported 213 thousand cars (both new and used) to Russia.

Almost every third such car arrived to us from Japan (69 thousand units), and every sixth one came from Germany (34.7 thousand units). Thus, the share of these two countries accounts for about a half (48.7%) of all imports.

The United States and the United Kingdom are the next in this ranking, from where 18.8 thousand and 16.5 thousand cars were imported into Russia, respectively. The TOP-five of importers is closed by Thailand with an indicator of 10.3 thousand units.

Also the TOP-10 of countries in terms of imports of cars to the Russian Federation for January - November of 2018 included: Slovakia (7.3 thousand units), Hungary (6.5 thousand units), Turkey (6.4 thousand units), China (5 thousand units) and Finland (4.2 thousand units).
