TOP-10 of Russian regions in terms of market volume of new LCVs

According to the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, by the results of 11 months of 2018, the market volume of new LCVs in Russia was 98.3 thousand units, which is more by 2.9% than a year ago. At the same time, more than a half (51.8%) of it belonged to 10 regions.

The largest regional market of light commercial vehicles in our country is Moscow - during the reporting period, its volume in the capital reached 15,319 cars, by showing a small but still the growth (+ 0.7%). The second place of this rating is occupied by the Moscow region with the result of 9,799 units, which is more by 20.8% than in January - November of 2017. On the third place of the ranking there is St. Petersburg, the figure of which was 6,682 cars (+ 5.7%). The Krasnodar Territory became the best among non-capital constituent entities of the Russian Federation (3,864 units; + 10.2%), and the TOP-five of leaders was closed by Tatarstan (3,178 units; -2.8%).

The TOP-10 of Russian regions in terms of the market volume of new LCVs for 11 months of 2018 also included: Nizhny Novgorod Region (2,966 units; + 6.9%), Sverdlovsk Region (2,469 units; -2%), Samara Region (2 261 units; + 6.9%), Rostov region (2 259 units; -10.3%) and Bashkortostan (2 152 units; + 2.4%).

We also recall that the leader in the LCV market in our country is the domestic brand GAZ, which accounts for about 45%. The TOP-three also included UAZ and Ford. Among the models, the representative of the Gorky Automobile Plant, Gazelle Next, with a share of about a quarter of the entire market, is expectedly leading. It is followed by GAZ 3302, and Ford Transit closes the TOP-three.
