    During the production time (from 2002 to 2014, inclusively) of Opel and Chevrolet, it was assembled in Russia more than 1.5 million vehicles of these brands. Since 2002 it was assembled at “GM-AvtoVAZ" 608.7 thousand units, since 2004 at "Avtotor" (574.1 thousand units) and since 2008 at the "General Motors" (341.6 thousand units).



AVTOVAZ changed the vice-president of procurement


Since January 1st, 2019, the position of the vice-president for procurement of AVTOVAZ will be occupied by Cyrill-Druane-Sharno. Venkatram Mamilapalle, who has held this position since 2014, will continue his career in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. According to the press service of AvtoVAZ, Cyrill Dreun-Sharno was born in 1975. In 1998 he graduated from the engineering school in Besançon (France). He began his career at Delphi as a technical engineer and industrialization engineer at an automotive systems factory in Strasbourg (France). From 2001, he moved to RNPO, responsible for procurement activities for the Alliance, to the post of supplier development consultant (Renault Technical Center in Guiature, France). He changed different positions at the Technical center, where he built his career as a senior supply strategy manager. Then 3 years he worked in Renault Samsung Motors in Seoul (South Korea) in the position of deputy head of procurement. Since 2017 – he was the Deputy General Director of ARNZO LLC (Russia).

As AvtoVAZ President Yves Karakatzanis noted, Mr. Dryan-Sharno’s competence in procurement and his experience in Russia will ensure the fulfillment of the objectives of the company's medium-term development plan.
