TOP-10 of the mass segment vehicles by Re-Purchase Index


Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a survey of Russian owners of cars of the mass segment and found out which of them have the best re-purchase index. This indicator characterizes the share of owners, who have the current car of the same model as the previous one. According to the survey results, it turned out that two models are leading here at once – Renault Logan and Ford Focus. For both cars, the re-purchase index was 19.4%. In other words, every fifth owner of both Renault Logan and Ford Focus, buys the same model again when changing cars. With a slight lag, the TOP-three is closed by the business sedan Toyota Camry with an indicator of 19%. It is followed by Chery Tiggo (16.5%) and Skoda Octavia (15.2%).

In addition to them, the TOP-10 of vehicles of the mass segment by the re-purchase index also included: Chevrolet Niva (14.9%), Subaru Forester (14.6%), Honda CR-V (13.3%), Opel Astra (12.8%) and KIA Sportage (10.3%). Note that car owners from 2011 to 2018 were invited to the survey. For estimation, it was taken by one of the most popular models from 32 automotive brands in the sales rating for the specified period. In the course of the study, more than 10,000 questionnaires of respondents were cumulatively processed, and about 300 owners were polled for each model. More detailed information about consumer preferences in the automotive market is contained in the new marketing report “Portrait of a Russian car owner”, prepared by the experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT.
