Marussia Motors and Valmet will launch production in Finland


According to Nikolay Fomenko, president and founder of Marussia Motors, at the end of the I quarter of 2012 Russian automotive company Marussia Motors together with Valmet Automotive are planning to start production of cars in Finland. As he said the production volume will be 300 cars, however the production volume is planned to be increased later. At that according to Prime agency Marussia Motors will keep its production in Moscow.

In 2010 Marussia Motors launched a plant for production of Russian premium-class sport cars in Moscow. Management of the company announced about the plans to start production of Russian cars in Europe several times. According to N. Fomenko production of the company all over the world will not exceed 10,000 cars.

As the president of Marussia Motors said, at present the company is preparing production of the F2, the Russian SUV of the company's own design. "We have designed the F2 SUV, which should become the Russian car, and we are planning to produce up to 3,000 – 5,000 cars of this model" – he said.

Valmet Automotive is one of the world leaders in designing and production of premium-class, hybrid and plug-in cars. The company employs 1,600 specialists in Finland, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the USA.
