According to the director of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, Sergey Tselikov, this year the market of new cars in Russia may fall by 30-50%, depending on the development scenarios.



Russia is ready to expand vehicle supplies to Bulgaria


Russia is ready to expand deliveries of vehicles to Bulgaria, said Denis Manturov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, during a meeting of the Russian-Bulgarian intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

Russian manufacturers are operating successfully in Bulgaria, in particular, AvtoVAZ and KAMAZ products traditionally enjoy good demand on the Bulgarian market, reports the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, the Bulgarian car market has been quite volatile in recent years. In 2018, the market showed the steady growth. Indeed, the sales results are impressive: the first quarter ended with the result of 10,133 units (+ 30.7%), the second - 11 thousand 176 units (+ 15.3%), and the third - 10 thousand 505 units (+ 7.0%).

In the ranking of brands, thanks to an outstanding start, Renault became the leader with 3356 cars (+ 15.8%), by overtaking the traditional leader Dacia, which entrenched itself in the second position with 3279 cars (+ 1.8%). Skoda ranks the third with 2958 cars (+ 50.0%), followed by Nissan with 2651 cars (+ 102%), Toyota with 2448 cars (+ 14.2%), Volkswagen with 2315 cars (+ 42.5%), Peugeot with 1859 cars (-1.8%) and KIA with 1718 cars (-17.0%). Russian LADA occupied 21st position in the ranking. In 2018, 338 cars were sold on the Bulgarian market (+ 14.6%), among which 27 units (-40%) were sold in September.
