TOP- 10 of the largest regional markets of new motorcycles in the Russian Federation

Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported that the Russian market of motorcycles for 9 months of 2018 reached 8.6 thousand units, by showing an increase of 28%. Now we decided to see, which regions more often than others, buy new motorcycles.

More than 40% of this market belonged to Moscow (2356 units; + 16%) and Moscow region (1177 units; + 34%). St. Petersburg is in the third place among the subjects of the Russian Federation (563 units; + 16%). It is followed by the Sverdlovsk region (386 units; + 43%), which leads among non-capital regions. Behind it there are the Krasnodar Territory (269 units; + 23%) and the Nizhny Novgorod Region (190 units; + 79%).

The TOP-10 of regions in terms of market volume for new motorcycles in January-September of 2018 also included: Rostov (167 units; + 22%), Irkutsk (139 units; + 111%), Vladimir (134 units; + 58%) regions, as well as the Krasnoyarsk Territory (124 units; + 10%).

Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that in the majority of the subjects of the Russian Federation, the sale of new motorcycles for 9 months has increased. Thus, the 40 leading regions, which account for 90% of the sales of all motorcycles in the country, show a positive trend.

Only in 11 regions of the country the motorcycle market falls. At the same time, the drop rate is significantly different: from -4% in the Kaliningrad region to -75% in the Jewish Autonomous Region. But, in fairness, sales in the "negative" regions are very small (less than 40 units, in each), and therefore they have no tangible effect on the results for the market as a whole.
