KAMAZ is upgrading the equipment

The plant of spare parts and components of KAMAZ is upgrading and overhauling equipment. The main function of the plant is the production of variable gear boxes and spare parts. A qualitatively new task is to concentrate all competences for this in one place, from the manufacture of parts to their testing as part of components and assemblies, reports the KAMAZ press service.

As it was noted, the modernization of four CNC lathes transferred from the foundry was completed in June. The upgrade occurred due to the installation of the purchased turret heads. Now processing of parts of any complexity is possible, and higher modes directly affect the quality of the surfaces being processed.

Another area was formed when the question of mastering the body parts of the variable transmission was acute. Under this project, it was decided to modernize the machines available at the KAMAZ plants, and not to buy new machining centers. At the moment, there is the installation and launch of the fourth machine. The site was also equipped with a room for setting up tools outside the machine, household facilities for personnel.
