LADA sales fell by 21% in the European Union in September

In the first autumn month of 2018, 334 LADA cars were sold in the European Union, which is less by 21% than in September of the last year (423 units). The experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT came to this conclusion by the results of the ACEA data processing.

It should be noted that the decline in LADA car sales in the EU countries is taking place against the background of a general decline in the European car market (-23%), which is largely due to the introduction of WLTP car certification rules from September 1st.

Sales volumes of Russian cars in the EU countries remain very low. So, in September of 2018, LADA accounted for 0.03% of the total European market. For comparison, this result exceeds the cumulative sales figures of Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini, but it is less than similar results of Dodge and Maserati.

Despite the September decline, for the first 9 months of 2018, LADA sales in the European market continue to show the growth. Thus, for the period from January to September, 4,143 LADA vehicles were sold in the EU countries, which is more by 9.4% than the result a year ago.
