    The experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" made a rating of the best-selling new cars in Russia in 2018. The leader of this rating was KIA Rio, which at the same time ranked the third in the list of the most popular models in the market as a whole.



Production of passenger cars in Kazakhstan for 9 months grew by 83%


According to the Association of Kazakhstan Autobusiness (AKAB), for nine months of 2018, in Kazakhstan there were produced 22,709 vehicles of all types, which is more by 71% than in January-September of 2017. The main increase was provided by passenger cars - this year there were produced 21,137 cars (+ 83%), 802 trucks (-17%), 388 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 131%), 231 buses (-48%) and 151 units of other specialized vehicles (0%).

According to preliminary data, in Kostanay “Saryarka AvtoProm” for nine months 7941 units of cars, trucks and buses were produced, the increase against the background of 2017 reaches 109%. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, Asia Auto has produced 13,335 vehicles (+ 64%). In Kokshetau, KAMAZ Engineering produced 440 trucks, Semipalatinsk SemAZ produced 206 trucks, Almaty Hyundai TransAuto produced 188 vehicles, and DaewooBus - 106 buses.

“In general, against the background of volumes a year ago, the year 2018 is in a positive way - the demand for cars of domestic production remains high. The shares of imported and locally produced cars are close to parity - sales of the domestic auto industry are at 47%. According to forecasts of AKAB, by the end of the year, the share of cars assembled in Kazakhstan will increase up to 51%,” - comments the vice-president of AKAB, Anar Makasheva.
