Total opened a new lubricant plant in Russia

Concern Total on October 15th opened a new high-tech plant for the production and mixing of motor oils and lubricants, which is located in the Kaluga region.

Thanks to the opening of a new plant, Total will be able to localize the production of a range of high-quality lubricants for the Russian market. The total investment was 50 million dollars, informed the press service of Total. The production capacity of the enterprise is 40 thousand tons of automotive and industrial lubricants per year, with the possibility of increasing up to 70 thousand tons per year.

The plant is equipped with a fully automated mixing system and the most modern bottling lines. It is located on area of 7 hectares in the industrial park "Vorsino" in the Kaluga region. The plant will provide 50 new jobs.

“The new plant will strengthen our position in the Russian and Central Asian markets, which meets fully our strategy to increase the profitability in growing markets and contribute to the financial performance of the group,” - said Patrick Puianne, the president and chairman of the board of directors of the concern.
