The share of sales of B-class cars has reached a record low level since 2015

According to the estimation of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in August of 2018, 49 thousand new cars of B-segment were sold in Russia. It corresponds to a share of 35.7% of the total Russian market.

According to agency experts, this indicator is the lowest since the beginning of 2015. So, in January and February of those year, the sales share of cars of B-class in our country was 36.8% and 36.6%, respectively. At the same time, until August of 2018, it did not fall below the indicated values.
In August, the sales leader in the B segment was LADA Vesta, which was chosen by 8510 Russians. This model showed a market growth in amoutn of 27.1%, while KIA Rio (7,812 units) and LADA Granta (6,979 units) that went after showed a fall (-7.8% and -17.6%, respectively).

It is worth noting that the total sales of B-class cars in Russia have been falling for the second month in a row.
