Krasnodar occupies the 8th place among the million population cities of RF in car parc volume

Last weekend, Krasnodar was officially declared a millionaire city in Russia. This is reported on the website of the city administration and it was announced to the citizens at a festive event on the occasion of the 225th anniversary of the city.

Meanwhile, the experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" decided to see how much the city's car parc corresponds to the status of a millionaire. Recall that there were only 15 cities, the population of which exceeded a million inhabitants in Russia. According to the agency, as of July 1st, 2018, there were 332,800 cars in Krasnodar. In the ranking of cities with the million-population, it occupies the 8th place - after Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Samara, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod (among non-capital cities Krasnodar is on the 6th place).

As for the structure of the Krasnodar parc, a fifth part of it is occupied by LADA cars (21.7% share), Toyota (8.4%) is in the second place, and Hyundai (8.3%) is in the third. The TOP-5 of the most popular brands is closed by KIA (6.4%) and Nissan (5.6%). Among the models-leaders there are: LADA 2107, Hyundai Solaris, KIA Rio, LADA 2106 and Ford Focus. These five models account for 13% of the local parc of passenger cars.
