KAMAZ increased a forecast of sales for 2011

KAMAZ company plans to sell more than 40 thousand of trucks in 2011 and it was more by 25% than in the previous year. General Manager of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogogin, said about it and he reminded that earlier a plant planned to sell 38 thousand vehicles. In 2010 KAMAZ produced 34 thousand trucks and it sold 32 thousand vehicles, including 28 thousand vehicles in Russia, wrote Reuters agency.

Mr. Kogogin also remarked that KAMAZ plans to reach a record rate of production from October – 240 vehicles per a day. By the results of eight months of 2011 sales of KAMAZ increased 2,4 times and they were 26,4 thousand vehicles.

According to assessments of Mr. Kogogin, there will be sold more than 90 thousand of commercial vehicles in Russia by the results of 2011. Therewith, he remarked that commercial transport is sold well only “with a stable economy, when we have development and investments”. Market volumes in Russia informs that we have on what to rely in future”, - cited the words of Mr. Kogogin the newspaper “Vedomosti”. 

Meanwhile, General Manager of “Fuso KAMAZ Trucks Rus”, Albert Yagudin, informed that the joint venture of KAMAZ and Daimler in 2012 plans to sell not less than two thousand of trucks Mitsubishi Fuso – it is more by 43% in compare with 2011. By his words, company is going to sell 1,4 thousand trucks this year. Mr. Yagudin reminded that it was sold 300 trucks of Mitsubishi Fuso from September of 2010 (start of sales) till December of 2010.

General Manager remarked that production capacities of joint venture permit to produce 7 thousand of trucks a year in two shifts. “If we reach the sale of five thousand trucks per a year then it will satisfy our shareholders”, - he informed and he also remarked that these indicators are possible in case of market growth by 10% a year. Besides, Mr. Yagudin informed that company is interested in a market of CIS countries but possibilities of entrance in it are discussed, the final decision will be taken by shareholders of company.
