The car market of Ukraine grew by 5% in July


According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the volume of the market of new cars was 6,474 units in Ukraine in July of 2018, which is more by 4.6% than the result of a year ago.

The leader of the Ukrainian market remains the French brand Renault, which was sold in amount of 828 vehicles in the last month - more by 17.6% than a year ago. In the second place – there is Japanese Toyota, which reduced sales by 7% up to 660 units. In the third position there is the Czech Skoda with a result of 503 cars (+ 0.8%). The TOP-five also included Japanese Nissan (454 units, + 22.7%) and Korean Hyundai (445 units, + 52.4%).

The most popular model was again the crossover KIA Sportage in July, sales of which fell by 15.9% up to 302 units. Further, Renault Duster is located, the sales of which, on the contrary, grew by 31.2%, by reaching 290 cars. The third and fourth places are divided between the Hyundai Tucson and Skoda Octavia (219 cars each), but if the sales of the first model grew by 55.3%, then the sales of second one fell by 16.4%. Renault Logan entered the TOP-5 of the most popular models in Ukraine in July (207 units, -1.9%).

As the experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, according to the results of 7 months of this year, the car market of Ukraine also demonstrated the positive dynamics. During this period, slightly more than 44,000 of new cars were sold here, which is more by 6% than in January-July of 2017.
