Moscow and St. Petersburg have 20% of Russian sales of Uz-Daewoo

According to AEB data for seven months, Moscow has more than 15% of sales and St. Petersburg has 5% in a regional structure of sales of Uz-Daewoo in Russia. Among federal districts the biggest shares in sales of Uz-Daewoo are occupied by Central (29%), Volga (25%) and Ural federal districts (16%). Therewith, only Moscow region has about 15,06% of sales of Uz-Daewoo cars, when Sverdlovsk region is on the second place with a share of 6,35 %.<br>
As representatives of Uz-Daewoo informed AUTOSTAT agency, Nexia and Matiz cars are the most demanded in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Saratov, Tyumen, Rostov-na-Donu, Volgograd and Krasnodar should be singled out among other regions. “This distribution is typical for Russian car market: sales in capitals are more active”, - remarked specialists of marketing of Uz-Daewoo. 

By their words, demand for Nexia cars exceeds requests for a purchase of mini-cars Matiz in the Russian market. So, according to data of AEB, sales of Nexia were 31470 cars, Matiz – 22611 units for January-July of 2011. “The key role is played by regions in this distribution, as their total share without Moscow and St. Petersburg is about 80%. Practical regional consumers consider Nexia as an optimal variant of estate car, as this model with its qualities is suitable as for work, so for family needs”, - explained specialists of marketing of Uz-Daewoo.

Concerning configurations of Uz-Daewoo cars, the most demanded are two types: a variant of basic configuration Nexia with engine 1,5L (80HP) and Matiz with engine 0,8 L, or cars with maximum configuration on the basement of Nexia with engine 1,6 L (108 HP) and Matiz Best with engine 1L. As remarked specialists of marketing of Uz-Daewoo, this original tendency was formed during a crisis and it is still kept. “Car owners are more solvent in big cities, they have a special culture of credits taking, so they orient on complete range of options. Budgets of small cities are limited and car is a vital necessity, so people choose a cheaper variant”, - said specialists of marketing of Uz-Daewoo.

Concerning colours of cars, the most popular among buyers of Uz-Daewoo cars are silver, black and beige-grey colours. By the words of specialists of marketing of Uz-Daewoo, the popularity of silver colour is objective: it is universal, practical and remarkable in a road colour. Citizens of Moscow and St. Petersburg are solidary in choosing this colour. Colours of cars in regions are similar with Moscow and St. Petersburg: silver colour is also the leader.
