The market of new buses grew by 20% in Russia

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the volume of the new bus market (excluding LCV) in Russia for 4 months of 2018 was 4,159 units, which is more by 20% than a year ago.

The leader of this market is again the Russian manufacturer PAZ, which share is slightly more than half of total sales. In quantitative terms, it is 2,128 buses, which is more by 4% than in the same period of 2017. It should be noted that the top three of brands of the most popular buses in the Russian market are domestic brands. So, in the second place there is LIAZ, which was sold in amount of 952 buses (45%), the third one is occupied by NEFAZ (240 units, + 42%). The fourth position of the rating is occupied by the Belarusian MAZ, which managed to sell 185 buses (+ 9%) for four months, and the top five is closed by Chinese Yutong (173 units), which increased its sales 5.2-fold.

Leaders of the model rating of buses were representatives of the Pavlovsk Automobile Plant (PAZ) - high-floor buses of small class PAZ-3205 (1240 units, + 8%) and PAZ-3204 (552 units, + 19%). The next two lines of the rating are given to the Likinsky Bus Plant (LIAZ), or the models LIAZ-5250 and LIAZ-5292, which were sold in the amount of 361 and 303 units, respectively. The top-five of leading models is closed by a large bus - NEFAZ-5299 (240 units, + 42%).
