TOP-10 of regions for sales of new motorcycles in Russia

The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" already reported that the Russian market of new motorcycles in 2017 was just over 7,2 thousand units, by showing a decrease of 37%. Now experts of the agency cite the rating of the regions of the Russian Federation, whose inhabitants buy motorcycles most of all.

In the first place there is traditionally Moscow, which has 30% of the total sales of motorcycles in the country. So, in 2017, 2,2 thousand new motorcycles were sold in the capital, which, incidentally, is 18% less than in the previous year. The second place is occupied by the Moscow region (943 units, -22%), and the St. Petersburg tops the list of leaders (531, -31%).

Sverdlovsk region became the best among non-capital subjects of the Russian Federation - in 2017 it was sold 280 motorcycles here, which is less by a quarter than a year ago. On the fifth position of the rating there is the Krasnodar Territory (256 units, -23%). The TOP-10 of regions by the market volume of new motorcycles also included in the last year: Rostov Region (148 units, -19%), Krasnoyarsk Territory (117 units, -31%), Nizhny Novgorod Region (114 units, -56%), Samara Region (104 units, -43%) and the Novosibirsk Region (93 units, -48%).

Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that in almost all regions of the Russian Federation, sales of new motorcycles fell in 2017. Only in three regions they grew, but the sales volumes here are rather low: the Kurgan region (+ 15%, to 23 units), North Ossetia (+ 60%, to 8 units) and Chukotka (+ 50% to 3 units).
