    Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in the framework of the new research "AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS - 2018. Car tires: car owners' preferences" conducted a survey on the choice and operation of winter tires. The results of a survey that was conducted in November showed that 94.2% of respondents “change” their tires for the winter ones and only 5.8% do not have a second set of tires.



Kazakh automotive industry grew 2.5 times in 2017


19,547 vehicles of all types were produced in Kazakhstan in 2017, that is 2.5 times more than a year ago. So after two years of decline, automotive production in Kazakhstan started steady recovery last year, the Union of automotive enterprises in Kazakhstan KazAvtoProm informs. Passenger car production increased 3.2 times up to 16,789 vehicles.

During the year, bus production (648 vehicles) grew 1.8 times. Special vehicle production (238 units) increased 1.5 times. Truck production (1,634 vehicles) decreased by 9.5%. ASIA AVTO is the leader in the segment of locally assembled vehicles – 12,730 vehicles sold, or 67% of the total domestic vehicle sales.

According to KazAvtoProm, in 2017, the sales of locally assembled vehicles grew 9 times faster than the market as a whole, and the share of KazAvtoProm in the car sales reached a historical maximum of 37%. In 2017, five most popular passenger car brands assembled in Kazakhstan were LADA (9,470 vehicles), Hyundai (1,958 vehicles), KIA (1,895 vehicles), Chevrolet (1,364 vehicles) and JAC (693 vehicles). The list of brands offered by domestic enterprises includes Ravon (643 vehicles), Skoda (331 vehicles), SsangYong (289 vehicles), Peugeot (207 vehicles) and Geely (27 vehicles).

The best selling passenger cars of local production were LADA models: the LADA 4x4 (4,238 vehicles), the LADA Granta (1,766 vehicles) and the LADA Largus (1,637 vehicles).
