Renault supplied over 13,000 vehicles of Russian assembly to CIS


Total export of Renault vehicles to the CIS countries, mostly Belarus and Kazakhstan came up to 13,000 vehicles in 2017. We should remind that over 12,000 Renault vehicles of Russian assembly were supplied to the foreign markets in 2016.

According to press service of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, in June, Renault company started supplies of the Renault Duster to the countries of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain). Over 3,600 Renault Duster, produced at Renault plant in Moscow and adapted for the local markets, have already been shipped.

Today Renault Russia exports the whole model lineup of vehicles assembled in Russia. The Renault Kaptur has a high export potential: this is the first model in Renault history, completely designed and developed in collaboration with Russian specialists. The Renault Kaptur export to the CIS countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia) started in the second half of 2016.

Renault Russia export development strategy is aimed at maximal extension of the export geography, entering new markets, and the priority areas at the moment are the countries of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
