The volume of the market of new cars was 1.3 million units in January-November of 2017, with a weighted average price of 1,329,000 rubles. The financial capacity of the new car market exceeded 1.7 trillion rubles, according to the data of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT". At the same time, the capacity of the market of used cars was 1, 5 times higher - 2.7 trillion rubles. For 11 months, its volume was 4.8 million units, and the average price - 554,300 rubles. Totally for new and used cars, Russians have already spent 4.4 trillion rubles.

The largest market of car sales among Russian cities is Moscow (565 billion rubles). In second place there is St. Petersburg (260 billion rubles), and the third position was taken by Novosibirsk (52 billion rubles), where there are sold not many new ones (9,2 thousand units), but at the same time a large market with used cars ( 62.8 thousand units).

The top-10 of cities of Russia by the total market capacity of new and used cars also included: Yekaterinburg (44.6 billion rubles), Kazan (42.5 billion rubles), Krasnodar (42.4 billion rubles), Nizhny Novgorod (37, 4 billion rubles), Samara (35.4 billion rubles), Rostov-on-Don (32.4 billion rubles) and Krasnoyarsk (32.1 billion rubles).
