TOP-20 of cities of Russia by the size of the car market

Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" analyzed the regional structure of the Russian car market for 11 months of 2017 and made the top-20 of the biggest markets of new passenger cars in Russian cities.

In the first place there is, naturally, Moscow. In January-November this year, the owners of new cars were 187,472 Muscovites. It is more only by 4% than in the same period of the last year. However, in recent months, the dynamics of sales of new cars in Moscow has increased significantly.

The second place among Russian cities is confidently held by St. Petersburg. To date, the residents of the northern capital have bought 88,542 new cars, which is more by 17% than the last year's level. At the end of the year, the market dynamics has also accelerated here.

The third place is occupied by Kazan – 21,626 new cars and market dynamics + 13%. The top-ten of cities by the car market included also Yekaterinburg (18,177 units, + 24%), Samara (16,277 units, + 13%), Nizhny Novgorod (15,474 units, + 17%), Ufa (14,965 units., + 19%), Krasnodar (13,726, + 10%), Rostov-on-Don (13,129 shares, + 11%) and Perm (12,806 units, + 26%). The second ten of cities of Russia by the size of the car looks as follows: Chelyabinsk, Voronezh, Togliatti, Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Izhevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Saratov, and Tyumen. Krasnoyarsk closes the TOP-20.
