UAZ can establish the production in Pakistan

Russia is ready to discuss options for organizing joint assembly production of Russian UAZ vehicles in Pakistan, said Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, at the Russia-Pakistan intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

"In Pakistan, from the Soviet period, it is well-known products of the UAZ Company, which is entering currently the market of your country. In addition to direct supplies, we are ready to consider options for organizing joint assembly plants in Pakistan, " - said Mr. Manturov, who was quoted by RNS.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", UAZ plans in the next three years to increase the sales in foreign markets up to 20 thousand cars per year, which should be about 30% in the total sales of UAZ. To achieve these indicators it is planned, primarily, due to the continued expansion of the geography of supplies and the release of adapted products for the needs of foreign markets.

The company continues to implement projects to develop UAZ Patriot cars with a diesel engine, to create "climate" versions of UAZ Patriot, Pickup and Hunter vehicles for countries with a hot climate. In addition, in 2018, it is planned to launch the UAZ "Hunter" model with right-hand drive and its deliveries to Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Pakistan, Malaysia and Thailand.
