Datsun increased sales by 69% in Russia in September


Russian dealers of Datsun sold 2,554 cars in September - more by 69% than a year before. As a result, the market share of the brand was 1.7% compared to 1.2% a year before, according to the AEB. For the first nine months of 2017, Datsun's sales were 17,566 vehicles, which is more by 36% than the same period of the last year.

The bestseller of the brand is the Datsun on-DO sedan, whose sales in September grew by 66% and they were 2,081 cars. As a result, it entered the TOP-20 of best-selling cars in Russia, informed the press service of Datsun. Hatchback Datsun mi-DO was sold in amount of 473 units (+ 83%).

"The Datsun brand demonstrates this year a good dynamics of sales growth from month to month. The fact that the Datsun on-DO model ranked among the top-20 of the most popular models in September indicates a high level of trust of Russian customers to the brand. Our positions are strengthened due to serious investments in the development of the brand, product and services, attractive lending programs, trade-in and participation in state programs of customer support, " - said Andrey Akifiev, Nissan's managing director in Russia. The share of sales under the program Datsun Finance in 2017 remains at the same level and it is 27% of the retail sales of the brand.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", in September, Russian dealers of Datsun began the accepting of orders for the new version of the Datsun on-DO sedan and the Datsun mi-DO hatchback with a more powerful 16-valve 1.6-liter engine. The price of the Datsun on-DO sedan with a 106-horsepower engine and manual transmission starts at 513 thousand rubles, and the Datsun mi-DO hatchback starts at 564 thousand rubles.
