AvtoVAZ Group increased the revenue by 18% in the first half of the year


The revenue of AVTOVAZ Group in accordance with IFRS in the first half of 2017 grew by 17.6% to 102 billion rubles. The group almost reached the level of the operational break-even with a result of -4.0 million rubles (an improvement by 9 billion rubles in comparison with the first half of 2016), informs the press service of AVTOVAZ.

As noted, the first signs of the recovery of the automobile market (+ 7% compared to the first half of 2016), the growing share on it, as well as the ongoing process of restructuring the Group led to a recovery of the financial situation. Net profit still remained negative and it was -4 billion rubles (an improvement of 23 billion rubles). Moreover, the AVTOVAZ Group stresses the continued risks that could adversely affect the company's financial results in the second half of 2017. In particular, this is an increase in purchasing prices for raw materials and deterioration of foreign exchange factors. To neutralize the impact of these risks, AVTOVAZ continues to implement its restructuring plan.

The company notes the continuation of positive trends regarding market share, revenues and financial indicators. So, in the first half of 2017, AVTOVAZ Group sold 140,231 LADA cars in Russia, which is more by 13% than in the same period of last year. The share of LADA in the Russian car market (passenger cars + light commercial vehicles) increased by 1 pp. up to 19.5%. This achievement is largely due to the growing sales volumes of new models of the brand - LADA Vesta and LADA XRAY, also due to the expansion of their model range.

AVTOVAZ Group increased the volumes of export sales of LADA cars (including the supply of car kits) by 76% compared to the same period of 2016. In general, this growth is associated with an increase in the volume of large-head assembly in Kazakhstan and the launch of sales of LADA Vesta in some foreign markets. In addition, AVTOVAZ Group sold 48,487 cars of Renault, Nissan and Datsun brands to its Alliance partners.
