Sales of Chinese cars in Russia for the first time of this year showed a fall

Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars, which covered the manufacturers from China. According to the study, sales of Chinese cars (according to AEB data, taking into account the LCV) showed a fall for the first time of this year - in July by 36% up to 2351 units. For the first seven months of 2016 their sales were 18066 cars – less by 2% than in the same period of the last year.

The leader of sales among Chinese automakers in Russia is still Lifan. Thus, in January - July of 2016 sales of cars of this brand has reached 8952 units, by showing an increase of 49%. It is followed by the brand Geely, whose sales for the period were 3,350 units (-34%). The top-three of leaders is closed by Chery with the result of 3110 cars (+ 6%). Sales of vehicles of other Chinese brands look modest: Brilliance (706 units; + 37%), DFM (696 units; + 25%), FAW (577 units), Changan (316 units; + 12%), Haima (114 units; -16%), Zotye (110 units) and others.

Recall that this year sales of Chinese brands in Russia always showed the growth, which was 6% by the end of the first half.
