Where do Russians prefer to buy car tires?


Sales of Chinese cars in Russia in the first half grew by 6%

Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars, which covered the sales of Chinese brands. According to the study, it was sold (according to AEB, with account of LCV) 15,660 cars from China in our country by the end of the first half of 2016 - more by 6% than during the same period of a year ago.

The leader of sales among Chinese automakers in Russia is still Lifan. Thus, in January - June of 2016 sales of cars of this brand has reached 7565 units, by showing an increase of 63%. Then Geely brand follows, whose sales for the period were 3108 units (-19%). The top-three of leaders is closed by Chery with the result of 2618 cars (+ 5%). Sales of vehicles of other Chinese brands looks modest, but the most of them are showing positive dynamics, such as Foton (+ 108%), DFM (+ 49%), Brilliance (+ 41%), Changan (+ 38%).

Analysts of agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that on the background of continuing decline of the Russian market (-14%) the growth of sales of Chinese brands provides an increase of their market share. So, for 6 months of 2016 this figure was 2.3% of the total volume of the Russian market, although a year ago it was equal to 1.9%.
